Welcome to Josie’s Fresh Flowers, a flower farm just east of Nacogdoches, in the Piney Woods region of East Texas.

I grow “Specialty Cut Flowers”—many varieties of beautiful flowers that you can’t find at the supermarket or other mass-market retailers.

Because they are locally grown instead of being shipped in from South or Central America, Holland or California (as most commercially available flowers are), my flowers are fresher and will last longer.  While supermarket flowers may have been cut weeks ago, you can buy my flowers the day they are cut. And instead of being crammed into boxes and shipped dry across continents, my flowers are handled with loving care from the time they are cut until they are delivered to you.

Buying local—whether flowers or food—has other advantages, too.  It reduces the fossil fuel required for shipping products and thus helps protect our environment, and it helps support local farms and earth-friendly agriculture.
